Dublin Design Studio
Founded in 2014, we are a team of designers and engineers who are committed to solving real problems and bringing new innovations to market.
Born in the midst of a dramatic Irish recession, founder and CEO David Craig decided to follow his life-long passion for design and electronics transfer by transferring his skills from architecture to consumer products.
Supported by a budding start-up scene, David has developed a multi-disciplinary team with the necessary skills and experience to deliver consistent quality and innovation.
Our first project is
Scriba; a total re-think on the conventional limitations of a digital stylus.
Launched on Kickstarter, Scriba uses our patent-pending Squeeze-Motion technology to give users a heightened and more immersive creative experience. Within a short period of time Scriba has gained international attention from leading design and technology publications as well as receiving a number of awards for its unique design.
Since being founded, Dublin Design Studio has moved out of David’s back bedroom and into our office’s in the heart of Dublin City. Our team has grown to include a multitude of designers, creatives, ergonomists, engineers, and developers, all sharing a singular focus of creating quality design and innovation.
The start up scene in Ireland is becoming a globally recognised and it’s not hard to see why. It has links on both sides of the Atlantic, and a vast array of readily available supports from Enterprise Ireland to Dublin Institute of Technology and the DCU Ryan Academy and many more between.
With help from the start up and design community always on-hand, we are proud to be based on this little island. In fact, it’s why all our manufacturing, designing and development are being performed here.

Discovery
Our experience in catering products to a particular market need roots the focus of our projects on specific and efficient solutions. We conduct preliminary discovery interviews, prototype trials, and user-experience testing.
Our success has been predicated on a strategic focus towards viable commercialisation. We work with teams to help them realise the full market potential of their products, including refining target markets, developing brand consistency and full marketing and route-to-market strategies.
Product Development
Our multidisciplinary team cater for full product development, including prototyping, 3D printing, electronic engineering and manufacturing support. We have unique expertise in human-centric design, developing products around the natural human form factors.
